Walt: solve decimal problems

Task Description:

For this task we had to do this task which is called problem solving wk 8. This presentation is basically all about decimal - timetable. On both slides there were problems which I really think needed help with as it was a really hard one. Picture Book

Walt: create our own picture books.

 Task Description: For this task we created our own picture books within our reading groups. We each designed an illustrated a page for the story. Once the books were made and printed we got to read them to a Year 1 class. Afterwards we gave the books to the class. Here is a digital version of the class.

Task Description:

For this task we had to do this task which was all about sending a post card to our dearest friends, The person I had sent it to was Makayla, We also had to send them a post card to the planet we were located at & the planet I was located at was Mars you might have noticed but I had done one just like this before, Can you spot the difference. Earths Solar System - Drawing...

Task Description:

For this task we had to do a Google drawing doc. I had to find the planets and place them all in order. Just like this, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune. This was quite hard but I had my friend Venice to help me with this. So we both worked as a team.

Walt: Solve decimal problems!


Task Description: For this task we had to do questions like what we are learning for our new terms topic. But first of all I would like to say Welcome back to term 3 in 2017. Have you enjoyed your holidays so far? Well I have anyways my task was to complete this today tomorrow & even the whole week. But I thought I should just get it over & done with. This was a really hard task.

Summary of how technology changed over time...

Walt: summarise and reflect on what we have learned.

Task Description:

1. Summary: First of all we had to do a summary of what we had learned all about How technology changed over time. 2nd of all we had to describe every one of the learning projects on our class sites. My Summary went a bit long to a little bit which is simply what we were meant to do.

2. Screencastify: Well first of all we had to have our presentation about how tech changed over time before recording on Screencastify. 2nd of all we had to start recording it as soon as we have finished our presentation. Last of all we had to start recording and it should come out something like this at the top of this post.

Task Description:

For this task we had to do a presentation which was called the Ratio problem. Rozaidah was to give me a task which was to finish this presentation today. This problem solving presentation was really hard on the 2nd one but at least I did it. Thanks... 

Should I be a spear fisherman?

Task Description

For this task we had to write mainly tell the people for example we had to explain to Tom the Shark fisherman what and why he should use this type of spear for his shark fishing experiment. I had been telling at least 3 men what and why they should use this spear. It was really fun explaining to them but it took me a long while doing this presentation. Thank you for reading.

Task Description:

For this task we had to do a presentation called Solving fractions. This task was really confusing for me and Chastyti but we still went for it. I really enjoyed doing this presentation because It helps me learn and do fun things... 

Hinerangi create your own kayak...

Walt: make connections with what we already know with what we read.I have chosen a blue Salmon K1 kayak with a blue base and a light blue outline. I have chosen to add a fist and 1 strip to pop in the middle.

I think that this kayak would be liked by my 2 younger sisters and my older sister. This Salmon K1 kayak is really interesting and could be used anywhere, any place and anytime. This kayak is so good looking.     

Task Description:

For this task we had to design a kayak on create your own Kayak. After we have finished we had to do a template talking about this kayak. This task was so fun and hard but at the same time it was awesome. Hinerangi....

The Most stomach-churning Chocolate ever!!!

Walt: express our personal opinions.

As soon as I collected my chocolate the smell told me the product was Cadbury.

The Turkish Delight chocolate contains Turkish Delight chocolate inside. The Turkish Delight chocolate cost at least $3.99 which is close to $4.

The Turkish Delight chocolate so looked like a chocolate I would eat in class, Unfortunately it was not. The taste of the chocolate tasted YUCK, STOMACH - CHURNING, NASTY and Sickening, IT WAS YUCK!!!. The smell of the Turkish Delight chocolate smelt like (Fake Name) Black cherries. The Turkish Delight chocolate feels hard, Bumpy and Sharp. THIS CHOCOLATE IS HORRIBLE.

I would improve this chocolate by using less gelatin powder and fresh lemon juice. I thought that this chocolate would be so nice but it wasn’t.

I would recommend people to not buy this chocolate because the taste of it was so disgusting and made me get a Stomach ache, This chocolate is so not worth it to be bought. So I would rate this chocolate a 2 / 10, THIS CHOCOLATE IS DISGUSTING.

Task Description:

For this task Room 7 had to do a task called Food Critic - Chocolate. Yesterday Room 7 had a chance to eat 2 pieces of chocolate. My flavored chocolate was Turkish Delight. Turkish Delight chocolate is one of the most disgusting chocolates. I really hated the Turkish Delight chocolate. I am hoping to never do this task ever again.

Basically this is my first Basic facts Maths practice in term 2 for 2017. Many of the questions were quiet hard for my age. I hope you enjoy learning your basic facts...

Hinerangi Castaway - A Survivors Tale...

Walt: Write from the 1st person.
Slowly washing up onto an unknown Island I looked closely around the Island, I was waterlogged and really cold. I feel lonely, Trapped, Scared and really Hungry. I am defeated.

After exploring the Island I start to collect Giant Fronds, Sticks, Wood, Popped boat and Flax. Finally I start to create my ever first Shelter. First I had wanted to find a clearing space for my shelter. I had grabbed the sticks and popped boat to put up first. Sticks go up first and the popped boat goes on top. Fronds, Rocks and Wood will go under and over the shelter. Fronds at the top, Rocks to hold the popped boat and the wood will hold the shelter. Finally that’s done, But there’s more to be done. Food and write a signal to get rescued.   

2 hours later. Walking around the Island I start collecting some of the materials I might need to use for food. Suddenly I have an idea. As I start collecting Flax, Sticks, Rocks and coconuts as well as catching fish I start to create somethings using these type of materials. As I start collecting the Flax, sticks (Long, Hard ) and Rocks I try to create a hook using 3 materials. I had grabbed the Rocks to cut it in half using the Sticks (Long, Hard) and banged it onto the rock. Then I had tied the flax to the Sticks including some leaves and finally you have made yourself a Hook. Coconuts. Finally creating my bowl and Mug I wanted to eat the rest of the coconut before making my bowl and Mug. This was so hard work.     

A few more hours later. Finally I have finished gathering up Sticks, Rocks, Leaves, Seaweed and Wood. My job is to write Huge and Fast so that I get rescued quickly. Using Rocks, Wood and Sticks I write the word HELP / SMS (Save my soul). All I had to do was to select the Leaves and Seaweed to put inside the word to make the people save me to see it clearly.

3 days later. I had been waiting and waiting and waiting.I was determined to go for walks on the beach. Suddenly I heard something coming from the SKY. It sounds like people in Helicopters seeing if there were anybody on the Island. “Help Help Help” “I say loud with a chance of screams”. “Don’t worry we will help you”. (Whistle) what a relieved. I am glad that I am coming home again. It has been weeks, Days even years. “Thank you “Thank you “Thank you. I have had no food no blanket no bed nothing besides Fish and Crabs. I am defeated.      

Task Description:

For this task we had to write a story about castaway - A survivors tale. My Job was to create as many things as possible to survive. I was defeated. Oh and by the way this story is just fake and is not even close to being real. I hope you have been kind to your teachers and that you stay out of trouble meaning as try to be like Tom Hanks on Castaway.

For this task we had to do a presentation which was a presentation of problem solving maths. I thought that my maths work was going to be really hard but as I was doing it, It felt really easy. My work was fun today!!!

For this task we had to write a presentation talking about Which Lure should I buy? What we also had to do was to read all our readings we had to read and write what we had to write. For this task we had to write a story using Fishing Hooks, Fishing pots and also including Maui's fish, Meaning as a Maori Myth. I had really enjoyed this presentation because I know that it'll help me with this and it'll make me know more things about Maori. During the term I am hoping to learn more things about this. Task Description:

For this task there was a presentation for team 4 on the site to do and create to put on our blogs. I was to collect objects for me to use when I do the presentation. The Items include
