100 YRS TIME...

In 100 years time everyone on earth will have absolutely no water, grass & very tall tree’s. The world will end & it’ll become so polluted that no human will survive as it can cause a lot of trouble. There will be no buildings / homes for humans to live in, there will be no vehicles & absolutely no buildings. Everyone will have to adjust to another planet as it is getting polluted & really horrible especially for those who are 6 years & younger. There are only going to be 328 parents to help out with the younger ones, 4 army people & 2 ambulance helping out.

The world is about to change & is going to end really soon. In 100 years time I’ll be DEAD. This world will not turn out as bad unless someone thinks really hard & fixes planet Earth. In 100 years time everyone will have moved to Mars & adjusted all the gear we need to make sure we are still alive. All the people that have already past away will turn back to their old selves lucky for me….

I thought of something that no one had ever thought of. I ZOOMED through space & found the object that was destroying our amazing planet…. & .. we did.

The planet changed back to it’s old self & everyone survived including the ambulances, Fire fighters & all the other helpers. Everyone was relieved & it didn’t cause as much trouble, lucky I shot out to space & saved the world. Unfortunately we had to transport all of our gears & bring it back to planet earth. We all made huge progress of getting everyone back home.

2 months later….

The world did not end & everyone got back all their gear from Mars safely we all had a huge party for those who saved the world. We celebrated until we were already to go home.

AND WE ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER….

Task description,

For this task room 7 literacy got the chance to write a story about what will happen in 100 years time. Here is the story of my 100 years time. This was such an easy task to do and I had completed this task just under 30 minutes. This task was really simple and I really enjoyed it. Thank you to Miss Moran for letting us do this task. This was an awesome task and it was fun!

Walt: using descriptive language

Dear helpers. On behalf of the year 6 girls I would like to say a huge thank you for taking up all your time to help us out on Athletics day. This was a huge success & it was such a really fun / funny day. I can’t wait for next year’s Athletics event!

On Athletics day we had so many people in there house colors & so many different activities that was held at Pt England School. The day was really fun & it definitely made my day. At the end of the day nearly everyone was tired, stressed & really bored.      

My favourite activities were High Jump, sprints, Relays & Dodge ball. My highlights were having to watch everyone compete against each other & having to support everyone who went to Athletics. The day was so much fun & there was so much challenges up for grabs.     

Next year on Athletics day I’ll be sure to help out with the teachers as well as my incredible friends. I’ll also be training as much as I can at home & do my best at so many different activities. When Athletics comes up I am for sure they’ll become harder & much more different as we are going to senior / intermediate school.

Overall I really enjoyed the day especially all the activities. I had learnt to give others a go & to just try my best at all activities / games & to never give up. This really made my day & I really enjoyed having to do all sorts of activities. Can’t wait for next years Athletics!

Task Description:

For this awesome task everyone who had entered the Manaiakalani Film Festival event or the Athletics event we all had to write a Thank you to all the helpers who came along on both events. Today Ie decided to do the Athletics one because it seemed more me & I really like playing different kinds of sports, especially / mainly at school. My Limericks!

For this task we had to do this task which is called create our own Limericks. This task was basically all about choosing a topic & describe / rhyme words with the topic you chose. Most of my Limericks are based on Animals & objects that are in the sky. I really enjoyed this task & I hope you enjoy!

Immersion Assembly

Have you ever been to an immersion assembly before? Well early this morning teams 1 - 5

had an Immersion assembly, that had told us what the theme was all about. This term everyone will be studying music.

Our school theme is called Musical Madness. Team’s 1 - 3 will be learning to create their own music well as their own Instruments, by using different kinds of materials. Team 5 will be doing something similar to what we are doing but a bit different.This term is going to be heaps of fun.

Team 4’s topic is all about creating our own music & making our own instruments. Team 4’s movie was really funny & incredible. The teachers were cruising around in a vehicle playing all different kinds of popular music tracks (but some of them were too old school for me to know). The tunes were funky & the teachers were hilarious.

This term I really hope we get the chance to design & create our own instruments as well as to listen to so many awesome & fantastic music tracks. What do I want to learn this term? What I really want to learn this term is having to learn how to play the piano & Guitar as well as so much more incredible instruments.    

I think that this new term’s theme is really interesting, as we do get to listen to music more than we usually do. This term's theme is going to be really exciting for me & especially for many others. I am really looking forward to be creating & designing our own instruments well as making our own music tracks.

Recount about Stardome...

Have you ever been to Stardome before? Well last week on Thursday all of team four students had went to stardome. Everyone had been putted into one of three groups. The people I was with were Trendy, Monika, Ayla, Ana, Leiite, Lepa & Tisa. Our king (Leader) was King Richard.  

It was a strange morning. I had walked into class as I thought it’ll be a normal morning. Well it wasn’t. We had all been placed into our Maths class instead of our Literacy class which felt really weird. Stardome was placed in Cornwall park by One Tree Hill.

Finally it was our turn to go to stardom, we had travelled to Stardome in a bus. Few more minutes later… Finally we had arrived at our destination which was Stardome. As soon as we hopped out of the bus we could obviously see the Observatory as well as other things such as. Sheeps, playgrounds, a mini train & a flying fox which was really cool.  

We had finally got into the building, I was so amazed at what I was seeing as I walked inside the doors. It was so different to what I saw last time I had went there. As soon as I walked inside I could see images of the solar system, planets, space & more. Moments later… After that everyone had gotten a piece of paper of space / planets & the solar system questions on it? I had already known that it was a quiz as he said all the answers would be inside the corridor so don’t start in here. Finally we had headed off to find the answers to what the question had said on the paper.      

At Stardome I had found out that Earth is called the Goldilocks planet because It is not to cold & it’s not to hot, It is just right. I had also learnt that God’s creations are so so beautiful so we need to take good care of it. Overall the day we had at Stardome was extremely awesome & Incredible. I hope you get the chance to go there one time, It is so awesome!

Task Description:

Recount of Cross Country!

Walt: structure a recount. 

Have you ever participated in a School Cross Country before? Well last week on friday everyone at Pt England School had their own School Cross Country. It was soaking wet & really muddy. I was really excited but nervous at the same time. I was so determined to finish the race.

Getting ready for our turn to race most people were really nervous. Before the race I had started chatting to my friends, drunk a lot of water and had started cheering for the younger ones. It was an extremely hot day. Finally it was our turn to race as we could all hear Mr Jacobson call our year name.

ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, GO!!! BANG!!! The clapper had went & everyone had zoomed past each other. I had started sprinting in the start & jogged in the end. As soon as I ran passed Mrs Stickland I had known that I had to slow down as I could see a lot of muddy puddles. My feet had got really muddy & part of my clothing as well. I had got a stitch & it was really sore. I was huffing & puffing because I was so exhausted as I was sprinting past most of the seniors as well as the year 6

girls. Finally getting to the finish line I had finished the race. WOO HOO!!!

After the race I was so relieved that the race was over as I felt so tired. As soon as I finished the race I had drunk a lot of water & sat on the hard, hot surface (Concrete). Slowly sitting down on the hard court I had started cheering for the final people who are still running & clapped as they are passing the finish line. A few minutes later everyone had started heading back to their classrooms with their teachers. Most people looked really tired, bored & extremely hot.   

Walking back to class I had thought about what I had learnt & what I could do to improve my running. What I had learnt about running was to never give up, believe in others & yourself & encourage others even if they don’t feel like it. How could I Improve my running? What I could do to Improve my running Is to keep running, do your best, have faith & never give up. Overall the It was an awesome day even though I didn’t want to do It. My friend & I was so proud of ourselves because we had started the race & we had completed it. The day was so incredible & everyone had left the courts with a huge smile on their face. Who is ready for next years Cross Country, are you? I know I am!

The event we had done was our School Cross Country everyone had participated in this event, Only if you had went to School. Have you ever tasted fried WORMS before? Well believe it or not our teacher might be crazy, Because he fed us chicken fried WORMS and It was horrible. I wasn’t expecting that.

Task Description:

In this lesson we had to write a story including Chicken flavored noodles. What we did was that we pretended that they were Worms instead of Noodles. Everyone wrote a story that was our introduction and wrote it separately.
