Activity 1: While in Taupo, you go for a walk around the lake and you notice pieces of rubbish floating in the water. You also notice that there is rubbish on the footpath. As you know, it is really important to put rubbish in the bin and keep New Zealand clean and beautiful for generations to come. With that in mind, it is time to think about what you can do to keep New Zealand beautiful. Use your imagination and come up with three things that you could do to make your neighbourhood more beautiful. Post your list on your blog ☺
- What I would do to keep my neighbourhood clean is to pick up every piece of rubbish & throw it in the bin.
- I think that using useable rubbish would be a great idea to make something really cool & stunning, Just by using rubbish which could actually help your neighbours by making your neighbourhood tidy.
- My last suggestion of keeping New Zealand beautiful is to reduce all rubbish.

ReplyDeleteI think that you have made a number of good suggestions in your blog for the ways in which we can #Keep New Zealand clean. I really want to do everything that I can to protect and preserve the beauty of NZ for all future generations. I will do my best to follow your suggestions and pick up any rubbish that I see lying around Titirangi (my neighbourhood in Auckland). I will also make sure that I recycle everything that I can and avoid creating extra waste (rubbish).
When I was growing up in Canada my family used to reduce the amount of waste that we created by taking recyclable, cloth bags to the grocery store every week rather than plastic bags. We would put our groceries into the cloth bags and carry them home, empty them out and use them again. It saved hundreds and hundreds of plastic bags and it was really easy. I stopped doing that when I moved to New Zealand but I should start again. You have inspired me!
