All about Stegosaurus

       

1. A Stegosaurus weights 6,800 pounds. It was a size of a bus. The Stegosaurus also has a double bone from large bony plates jutting out of it’s back.

 2. A Stegosaurus ate ferns and seed cones in the forest. The Stegosaurus was a really slow walker and It walks on 4 legs. A Stegosaurus is also 26 to 30 feet long and 9 feet tall.

3. A Stegosaurus lived 145 million years ago. This Stegosaurus means covered lizard. A Stegosaurus was alive in the late Jurassic period. Did you know that a Stegosaurus was a herbivore.

4. The may have been flashed red with blood when the animal was excited or scared. A Stegosaurus could not run fast so it just stays still and used it’s own tail to hit it’s enemies.
