Task Description:
In today's task room 5 literacy were to complete the task of making your own opinion. This task was incredibly interesting but hard at the same time. This took me about an hour to complete so I really hope you enjoy. Enjoy the opinions of what I think towards these main statements and enjoy! 

Lego Ninjago Team

LEGO NINJAGO TEAM:)

Task Description:

For this task I was to write or create a video/TV show that makes 5 year old boys would enjoy watching or of course read. Here is a short story that I have created from Ninjago. The reason why I decided to choose Ninjago was because my Nephew loves watching this interesting show. The title if you are not able to see is about introducing the lego people and finding out what they represent. This series is about The battle of the thrones and it's what most of these lego people fight for. Watch and see more about this in the next episode, hope you all enjoy! 

Explanation Writing:

The information I am about to tell you is all about the benefits of physical activity. These are some great tips about how we can be better at staying healthy and stronger for the future. Benefits of physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health.   

Being physical can help you with tons of things especially because it  helps you with staying healthy. Eating loads of fruit and veggies is 2 of the main things you should be eating everyday as it can help you reduce the risk of having heart disease, high blood pressure and cancers for the future. Everyone should be drinking water as it’s technically what’s making us move around a lot, water is what everyone should be drinking as it’s a 100% healthy drink and is what helps us move around a lot. Be physical, stay safe and eat/drink plenty of veggies, fruit and water.   

Another way of being physical is getting a lot of exercise. Everyone should be doing 30 minutes worth of fitness/exercise per day and drink plenty of water. If you have chosen to do a whole week worth of exercise the amount of time you should be doing is 300 minutes throughout the whole week. Getting this amount of exercise will actually help you lose weight in just in a week. Exercising a lot can help you with staying healthy and it’s what we do everyday after lunch, which is what I kind of enjoy but it does help me a lot.

Last but not least physical activity can help you with how you feel and all the moods you are feeling at the moment. Physical activity can help you with stress, emotion, being angry and much more. This is what helps me a lot when I’m stress, due to physical activity I have been acting a lot weirder than usual but it has never stopped me from finishing my work. Physical activity can help you a lot and is what helps me and my friends actually.  

The elements written in this template is obviously all about the benefits of physical activity. All elements were also based on how it helps the brain and the body. Physical activity is the most important thing to improve your health and reduce all the risks of catching something bad. Physical activity has plenty more of reasons why we should be doing this to improve our health and much more. I really hoped you learned something really great and that you’d try a few of the tips written in this template. Thank you and god bless.

Team Building Recount

It is that time for the year 7’s, It is time for team building. This is a time for the year 7’s to experience a few leadership opportunities and have jolly fun. There are 3 awesome days ahead of us, ( making slime, cooking, water sports, street games and more ). These 3 days are going to be awesome.      

2 days later…. The final day of team building had begun. I was pumped up and ready to finish it
off properly as it was our final day of team building. There were loads of different teams around me
as we were seated on the ground inside the street. The teachers were about to announce the activities
we were going to do for the day. 5 hours later….. It is time to celebrate and finish the week off with a
boogie along with some music. My day just kept getting crazier and funnier, all team leaders were
selected to list down the people that were there to sort out all the food that was provided for us,
( all food items were provided by Mrs Salu ).

Everyone were extremely excited to get there boogie on and have a bit of a laugh. There were food, drinks and plenty of junk on the day. 20 minutes later……. After having a bit of a feed I was ready
to dance with a few of my friends, I was really happy as we also got a few of the teachers up and
dancing. The teams that challenged each other in all the dance battles we had were, Yellow &
Green, Red & Blue, Purple & Orange. All teams were incredible but unfortunately churry didn’t get
to where we wanted to.

After having our mini dance battles Mrs Salu had given us 25 more minutes to dance
until it was time for our mini prizegiving. For the last 25 minutes Mrs Salu had chosen for
everyone to play musical statues, I could tell everyone was surprised as there were only 4 - 6
people  left in the game. 15 minutes later…. There were only 10 minutes left of dancing. Everyone
slowly got ready for our prizegiving.

All the teachers that were there were really excited to give the prizes out to those who participated
in all events. Our 10 minutes was over and it was time to get ready for our final event which was
our prizegiving. Everyone was seated on the ground and none was talking, It was quieter than usual.
The prizes were about to be handed out and all the scores were about to be announced.

Mrs Salu decided to go from last to 1st, Mrs Salu finally called our group name as we came
5th place, the prizes were boxes of pizza and bags of chocolates as well as lollipops. Team
churry was still proud of ourselves as we did come first in the team chant and 5th overall. After
selecting our prizes team churry and team orange justice decided to share the boxes of pizza and
all the goodies we had on the day.

Overall I enjoyed my week with all the year 7’s and the leftover teachers. I would like to say
thank you to all the teachers and helpers who organised these 3 days and helped us with
everything we needed. It has been an incredible experience and having awesome opportunities
of being a leadership person one day. Thank you to all helpers and teachers, It has been epic with
you all.

The Most stomach-churning Chocolate ever!!!

Walt: express our personal opinions.

As soon as I collected my chocolate the smell told me the product was Cadbury.

The Turkish Delight chocolate contains Turkish Delight chocolate inside. The Turkish Delight chocolate cost at least $3.99 which is close to $4.

The Turkish Delight chocolate so looked like a chocolate I would eat in class, Unfortunately it was not. The taste of the chocolate tasted YUCK, STOMACH - CHURNING, NASTY and Sickening, IT WAS YUCK!!!. The smell of the Turkish Delight chocolate smelt like (Fake Name) Black cherries. The Turkish Delight chocolate feels hard, Bumpy and Sharp. THIS CHOCOLATE IS HORRIBLE.

I would improve this chocolate by using less gelatin powder and fresh lemon juice. I thought that this chocolate would be so nice but it wasn’t.

I would recommend people to not buy this chocolate because the taste of it was so disgusting and made me get a Stomach ache, This chocolate is so not worth it to be bought. So I would rate this chocolate a 2 / 10, THIS CHOCOLATE IS DISGUSTING.

Task Description:

For this task Room 7 had to do a task called Food Critic - Chocolate. Yesterday Room 7 had a chance to eat 2 pieces of chocolate. My flavored chocolate was Turkish Delight. Turkish Delight chocolate is one of the most disgusting chocolates. I really hated the Turkish Delight chocolate. I am hoping to never do this task ever again.

Hinerangi Newspaper tower...

                  Walt: write a recount about our experience.

Have you ever built a tower using Newspaper before? Well believe it or not this is what we had to do in class. I was wondering why Mr Goodwin was playing with Newspaper by the way. Suddenly I noticed something, I knew that something was not right until we got into our Literacy class.

Mr Goodwin had told us to get into 6 - 7 groups. Mr Goodwin was handing out Tape, Newspapers and Scissors. I felt dizzy. Bethan had gotten the Newspaper, Scissors and 1 piece of tape. Some of us were getting ready to build and plan.   

As we were building our towers Mr Goodwin was giving out more tape for the Tower. It was hard work. While we were building we had time to add more tape and Newspaper to the Tower, As we added more and more Newspaper our Tower began to fall over Maria’s head, It was so funny. When we got to the end Mr Goodwin had given us 2 minutes more to build our tower. We had no chance of winning, So we just left it.

In class I learnt how to build a tower using Newspaper, I thought that I would change some of the Ideas like the platform and skinnier sticks to build our tower with. When I was creating my tower everyone looked like they were having lots of fun as well as having fun.

Task Description:

For this task we had to work on a hard experience that maybe not most people have done before. In class we had to create a story that matches our experience witch was Newspaper tower. I have chosen to do this experience with my team members so that I do not have to do nothing. So our experience was to create a tower using Newspaper.

Hinerangi Awesome Immersion Assembly...

Walt: recount an event.

Have you ever studied comic books before? Well this Term team 4 will be creating their own comics, the other teams are studying there own exciting and exquisite topics as usual.

The school theme for this term is as i see it. Which is all about art. Team 1’s topic is all about what there favorite things are. The other teams are doing topics like Seasons, Architecture and Waka Races. I am looking forward to be seeing all the other teams topics and how they're doing.

Well team 4 are doing sequential art which means that we will be writing stories with art. For this terms topic for team 4 is called KA POW. If you want to know what sequential art means than I’ll give you an example. Well do you know how Caveman Drawn on there walls, well that is what sequential art means.

What I want to get out of this terms topic? Well I hope that we get to draw pictures but with more details in it. I would also like to learn more about comics and how other people created them. I also hope that we all get to read more about comics.

I am really looking forward to be doing a lot of comics this term. I am also interested to be reading a lot of comics and looking forward to be creating a lot of animations about comics. I can’t wait to be studying comics this term. Hope you liked reading my story.

Hinerangi little red riding hood with a twist...

Walt: retell a story with a significant twist

In a far far away place there once lived a little furry bunny named little red riding bunny. Little red riding bunny always loved to wear her red dark smooth cape. Little red riding bunny was playing outside wandering around singing songs. That day her mother was baking some lovely cookies for Grandma. One day her mother told little red riding bunny to deliver some cookies to Grandma.

So she was walking threw the forest to her Grandma’s cottage singing songs as she was walking. As she was walking she saw another path with some lovely flowers. She felt so sad that her Grandma might feel sick. So she picked up some flowers and went off on the wrong path were the flowers were. As she was walking along she didn’t know that she was on the wrong path. As she was picking up the flowers she heard a crack in the bushes and saw someone pop out. In the bushes there was a big bad dragon who jumped out of the bushes.

As soon as the big bad dragon popped out little red riding bunny got real scared. So the big bad dragon took the cookies and went off to Grandmas house. Little red riding bunny was scared so she went off back to her Mums house. As little red riding bunny was running she knew that she never wanted to go inside and tell her mum the truth. When she told her mother the truth she knew that her mother would be angry at her. So what she did was she just went upstairs and never had a word with her mother.

When she got upstairs she went to tell her Mum the truth. As she was telling her Mum the truth she was real worried. But as she was speaking she felt real scared but she still told her. So her Mother said” well you can deliver some more cookies and she did. Little red riding bunny was walking into the forest to deliver some cookies. When little red riding bunny got there the big bad dragon ate up Grandma in 1 big bite. So what the big bad dragon did was to try and dress like Grandma. As he was getting ready there was a knock at the door. So the big bad dragon opened up the door and said” what are these, and little red riding bunny ‘replied” these are delicious crunchy cookies.

As she was passing them to Grandma dragon little red riding bunny looked up at Grandma. So what she said was “what’ big” eyes” you “have, “what’ big” ears you have and what big feet you have. So then big bad dragon replied well what a better to not see. So little red riding bunny gently gave the cookies to Grandma dragon and ran all the way back to her mother’s house. Little red riding bunny went inside and as she walked inside she looked upstairs and saw her mother on the floor dead. Little red riding bunny tried to wake her up but she couldn’t wake up.

As she was trying to wake her up she called the hospital. She had to wait for 4 hours. When the results were in the doctor said” your mother is still alive. The next day little red riding bunny went to the hospital and her mother was alright to go home. But as she was walking her mother felt alright to walk on her own. But she didn’t. SO THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER even the big bad dragon...    

Task Description:

For this task we had to retell the story of little red riding hood. We also had to learn to
describe the characters that we have been creating in our stories. In our stories we have to have
punctuation, full stops, Capital letters and other bits for our story.
