SLJ: Coming to an end:)

Activity 1: VE Day!
After six long years of fighting, World War II finally came to an end in 1945. The entire country was ecstatic and parties were thrown all over New Zealand to celebrate VE Day (Victory in Europe). Imagine that you were living in New Zealand in 1945 and you had to plan a VE day party at your house. Who would you invite? What would you do to celebrate?

On your blog, tell us all about your (imaginary) VE party. If it was me, I would invite all of my closest friends and family over to my house for a big barbecue. We would eat ham
burgers and play basketball in the driveway. Some of us would probably walk to the local beach to play soccer on the beach and to go for a swim (if the weather was warm enough)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At my VE party I invited my family & friends to come & join us for a mini picnic / Barbecue. On the Barbecue we have all sorts of Vegetables & piles of meat such as...

Sausages, Chops, Meat patties, Steak & Lamb.

The types of Vegetables we have on the Barbecue is Carrotts, Cucumber, Egg Plant, Avacado, Mushrooms & Corn.

A few minutes before everything is done we all start to head down to the closest Beach. Once we have finished adjusting everything / everyone we all start to eat & start to play a few beach games like...

Beach Volley Ball, Soccer & build Sand Castles.

After we finish doing all of that including to eat, everyone begins to have a 1 or 2 hour swim as well as to play on the playground.

Today was an amazing day, I really enjoyed myself as the VE party was amazing. Everyone had turned up & the food was delicious. I really enjoyed myself & I can't wait for next time. This was a great day & it turned out how I imagined:)

Thanks & I hope you enjoyed my blog post:)

  1. Hey there Hinerangi, it's great to read about your VE party. It sounds like you have all the food well sorted. I love how specific you've been with the types of vegetables and the games you will play on the beach.

Well done for writing a reflection at the end of the post as well. It's a very clever idea I don't think I've read that on anyone else's blog yet.

What did you do for Christmas Day? Something similar?

    Thanks, Billy
