SLJ: Offering a Helping Hand:)

Activity 2: Offering a Helping Hand
During this period, people struggled to find work both here at home and overseas. It was a really tough time for people living in the Great Plains of the United States because they were hit with a huge drought that lasted for most of the decade. Many crops were damaged and farmers were not able to make enough money to feed their families.

Imagine that you were alive in the 1930s. What could you have done to help these families? On your blog, list three different ways that you could raise funds for families to help them buy food and clothing. Be as creative as you can with your fundraising ideas!

--------------------------------------------------------

If I was to help fundraise back in the 1930's I would've helped families by getting them.....

1: Money to spend on whatever they want:)

2: Buying them food & clothes:)

3: Raffles & Auctions to raise way more funds by using four different types of auctions:)

So here are the list of three ways I would help families buy materials / objects / whatever they please to get. Thanks for reading my Offering a helping Hand. I really hope you enjoyed my blog post. Please stay tuned for more upcoming blog posts!

  1. Hi again Hinerangi, I like how you have chosen three ideas about how you could raise money for families. I especially like the third idea because you won't have to spend any money and you're likely to raise lots.

Can you think of any other ideas to raise money for families? What about something like a sausage sizzle, car wash, lemonade stand, that sort of thing.

Have you ever been involved with a fundraiser before?

    Thanks, Billy
